Meet the Candidates!

The deadline for candidates to register for the November 5 General Election is August 9. Check back here for updates as more candidates announce their campaigns.

One candidate will be elected by the entire city for a two year term. Irvine will have its first election by district for City Council. There are six districts in Irvine, and a City Councilmember will be elected to represent each one.

For this first election by district, candidates will run for Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4. Representatives for Districts 2, 3, and 4 will serve a four year term. The representative for District 1 will serve a two year term. Representatives for Districts 5 and 6 will not be elected until the 2026 midterm election.
