It’s a match made in heaven. Some our favorite Anteater coaches will take turns as “pizza coaches” at Sgt. Pepperoni’s Pizza Store in Irvine every other Thursday night in September and October. Up first on September 1st at 5:30 is UCI Women’s Volleyball Coach and former Anteater volleyball player, Ashlie Hain.

Hain played at UCI from 2001-04 and is still the career leader in assists with 5,698. Her team started the season with a 1-2 record and after the first week, UCI ranks 14th nationally in kills per set with a 14.80 mark. The team will host a home tournament on Friday and Saturday, September 2nd and 3rd. But on Thursday, September 1st, Hain will be taking orders, slinging slices, and schmoozing with fans.

Sgt. Pepperoni’s will give 20% of all sales to the UCI Women’s Volleyball program. Pizza, salad, drink, and dessert purchases, including take-out and delivery orders, will support the players and staff.

Stop by Sgt. Pepperoni’s on September 1st from 5:30 to 8:30 to enjoy dinner, live music, and a chance to try Hain’s favorite: BBQ Chicken Pizza.
